Over the last decade there has only really been one face of poker, and that is Daniel Negreanu! Daniel Negreanu is a Canadian poker pro who is the ambassador for Pokerstars as well as poker in general and is probably the most loved poker player in the world. At the age of 41 Daniel Negreanu still has a lot of life left in him at the poker table but considering he’s been around the world of poker for over two decades now he feels far older than he actually is! Daniel began his poker career in the card rooms or Toronto where he was playing against some of the toughest competition in the world at the time.
It was here that he really began to hone his craft and come to dominate the high stakes cash games and tournaments across the globe. His breakout performance was back in 1998 where he won the $2000 Pot Limit Hold’em event at the World Series of Poker for a cool $169,460! and a WSOP bracelet. Since then he has gone on to win 5 more WSOP bracelets (not an easy feat at all) as well as becoming the WSOP player of the year in 2004 and 2013. Furthermore he has 2 World Poker Titles to his name as well as being the WPT player of the year in 2005.
This career would be exemplary enough for any of the best players in the world but Daniel Negreanu has even show he is no slouch online either being a winning player in the highest stakes cash games around as well as taking down a SCOOP title in 2013 which is the biggest series of Online Poker events to date! Negreanu has shown that with hard work and dedication it’s possible to not only rise to the top of the poker world, but stay there for a very long time - all while being loved at the same time too we might add!
